Define Calendar

Calendar is used to identify the dates in the Accounting Transactions.

There are 2 types of calendars
1. Accounting Calendar
2. Transaction Calendar

1)Accounting Calendar: Accounting Calendar determines the periods for the year. It requires to track the transaction date. To define accounting calendar we need to define period type.

Define Currency

Currency is used for analysis and reporting the transactions of the Company.

In Oracle we have 196 Countries with 250 Currencies since some countries might have more than 1 currency, for ex Afghanistan has 2 Currencies.

If required, you can also Define new Currency.

Navigation for defining and viewing Currencies

Setup->Currencies->Define
Press F11 and Ctrl+F11 to View the Currencies defined by Oracle.

To define new Currency press Ctrl and down arrow


After defining Currency click on Save
